Hi, I am looking for the Wilson family who were tinsmiths ,hawkers and gen dealers and not to forget horse dealers
My gran Mary Wilson was born 1910 / place of birth .unknown
Parents James Wilson and Jane Watson.
Mary married James Lees in 1928 Greenock renfrewshire Scotland
I think that there might be a connection to an Osborne family as on marriage certificate, witnesses at wedding were?Osborne and Margaret Osborne they stayed at 1 Bearhope St Greenock.
Also marrige of Jane Ann Wilson who married an Abraham Wilson 1919 at 1Wallace place Greenock
Any help would be great
The line of wilson,s I am following are from Yorkshire England
From 1928 looking for Watson,Wilson families from Yorkshire and Scotland

Hi
Dont know if there is a connection but I am also searching the Wilson family from Yorkshire. My g grandfather was George Wilson who married Deliah Boss and believed his brother William Wilson who married Deliahs sister Britannia Boss.
Williams father was James Wilson but I have no knowledge of his mother.
I am desperate to find out more. The wilsons are all lived in Yorkshire, Hull to be precise.
Maybe there is a connection.

| Hi Flora an Tracey, i lives up in yorkshire, little place call haworth but i know Wilsons down in keighley for years , they does lino an things like that, some are still in trailers an some are over neer doncaaster in house, ones in trailer that i see most of are where we goes for our gear from buildes yard an nex time i,m down there i,ll knock em an show what you,ve askt an ya never know ya might be lucky, they dont have no computres but there lad goes to libary an he can use one, anyways, i,ll ask em if they knows ppl that youve put here first an see what they says, all best------kilby------ |

I am researching gypsy ancestry and have found a lot of wilsons and watsons close together. I need to do further research but traditionally was there a close connection between Wilson and Watson families?

I know there are Romany gypsy's in my family tree coz my nan told me, now all these years on I am trying to find out exactly who they were. Well, there's me ;-) I know me, hehe, but I'd like to find out more about my ancestry! Gypsy and Gorjer! Hehe.
