Hi All,
I'm looking for info about the following people (my grandparents), "Percy Adolphus Trelawny Taylor (middle names possible wrong way round) & Elisabeth S. Burvill" These are my fathers parents and lived around south east kent.
The others are "Alfred Frederick Shrubb & Jessie M. Finch" these are my mothers parents and lived around the kent area too.
Not sure where Alfred or Jessie were from originally as Alfred was in the forces, between the wars.
Thanks in advance to anyone who can help

Thanks for that info valerierackly, there is so much info that I'm still getting hold of, and still am not sure about. So any help is greatly appreciated.
I have only recently found out that my parents (Francis wilfred Taylor & Sheila Margaret Shrubb) were married a couple of months before I was born. He was born in the 20's and she in 1935. She's now dead but I don't know about him.
Being 40+ years old and coming to this has been a bit of a surprise but I am also very proud over the information that I do have and of my roots (newly discovered)

The nav Trelawny as the middle nav given in your post might indicate that the person may have been born in Devon or Cornwall; the name being from that area, esp. Cornwall. Just a suggestion, as again, that may not say much.

| regarding Ashella,i guess she was from about 1890, my grandad doesnt really remember, and when i seen him today he doesnt look like he'll be here more the a few weeks.
And Ashella was his granny and he was born in the 1930's so if you said she was fourty years older than her, thats how i came up with about 1890.I dont know any think about her really,my grandad said she was probably born in ireland, and that Emily and her where related in someway they where from the same place in ireland, belfast on a camp, and had the same last name, and the both married into the same family.I was told has a child that we where related to the Lee's but i dont remember how.My grandad said they had to not stop in the same places when he was growing up because of the war.but he sdid tell me that he andhis uncle william shared there identity papers,so he cant be much older than my grandad.my aunt rose knows much more, she does tell me but i can remember all what she tellsme and if i try to write it down i feel a bit ladge having to get her to tell me again and again so i can write every thing she knows, plus not every-one wants every-body to know all about them.theres things thats been kept quiet.i dont know if i am bold enough to un-earth them. |

Hiya , my grandmothers maiden name was Mary Taylor, her married name was Stuart. My grandmothers fathers name, (my great-grandad) was william (Dugging) Taylor & his wife was Mary Taylor & we used to call her Nanny Poll. My Great-grandparents on the Taylor side had 10 kids, my grandmother,(Mary)being one of them,(the children). i believe my great-grandad was born in the Bradford area (but not 100% sure) but ended up living in Brockley in SE London. I also believe that there was a name change within the family, that the name before Taylor was either spanish or italian. I wonder wheather you can help me ???? !!!! rubyzzzzz |
