hi there

i am just a person from the street but may I offer two thoughts to this discussion

1) a lady came into our coffee bar in totnes and said she was looking for posters about shaminism i suggested she have a look around the wall
she did, found a poster offering a weekend couse nearby for over £200 she said she was amazed at the fact it was the only courde in this area

a few weeks later she returned and I noticed her putting up a poster advertising shamanic courses at also over £200

I asked if she was now helping the people get new recruits

No she answered I am now teaching shaminism

I worry about this use of spiritual and other sacred knowledge to earn money

2) the second point is that I remember many years ago when I asked a friend who is Lakota and indeed a shamin in his own right

"what is the hardest thing about shaminism"

he answered

"finding one "

i think shamanism is where you believe there is a spirit in all  things...or maybe all things are of spirit,ie rocks, trees, sand, etc and the shaman can work with or connect to this spirit or energy to bring about change ie healings!
also, they can work within the different astral levels, and use herbs and other natural ingredients to help people. thats what i read in one of my mags anyway.!

well I promised that I shall answer you, about Shamanism, my friend I never in my life tried to convince any one including my family, what to believe in, I am Chatolic by tradition, I followed my fathers faith and his God, but today there are so many sects that it is hard even to count them, that is why I wrote a book, which is called { the Magic power of life} it is all about the Spiritual powers, of my clan, the Lovara, and what we believe in, not as a whole, but mostly, we believe that the Spirit never dies, it is a divine force and that we hardly believe that there is heaven or hell,we believe that heaven or hell is right here on our planet.
