This is a true story this ... when I was about 10 we was living in a caravan in Wales. There was an old ruins just down the lane from where we were stopped. We'd been playin there all day, and that night when we were in bed, we looked out of the window and we could clearly see a light on in the tower. The next morning when we went back we had a look at the tower ... and there was no stairs or anything!! To this day we don't know how anyone could have got up that tower with a light! all the best! |

| Hi Sarah- Jane and Flyam, this is also a true story and I don't tell many people in case they think I'm a bit wierd! But here goes! There is a little village in the heart of the moors in Devon that I like to visit, it's really pretty and about 8,000 years old and just has a nice feeling about it. It has a church in the centre of the village and one day 2 years ago we walked around the grave yard. Odd I know but some of the gravestones go back to the 1600's and further but you can't read them. Anyway, I don't know why but I walked to a grave that was stuck right out of the way. When I read the headstone it was about 160 years old and it was a mother, a father and 5 of their children who all died inthe early 20's. The father had died first in the month of April and then every year following that each of the 5 children had died on or around the 23rd of April with a year in between them. I suddenly felt completely and utterly consumed with grief for the loss of 5 children as if I was the Mother herself and I started to sob uncontrollably. My husband walked me away from the grave and the further I went away the less the grief I felt. I suddenly knew what the loss of 5 children had felt like and I never want to feel that again. However, I went back to grave yesterday out of curiosity but didn't feel anything at all. In one way I was disappointed but in another way I was pleased. I didn't really want to feel that again but I can't explain why I did...Kushti Bok! Sheri |

| Hiya all, I've always been a bit of sceptic about such things but living in my last house was odd! Quite often you'd see something out of the corner of your eye and there was often a feeling that someone was behind you while brushing your teeth. Quite a few people passed comment on it and my brother & sister both "felt" something too. My ex would not stay in the house on her own. Strangely enough i never felt lonely there even though i lived on my own. I just lived with it, if "it" was something. It's not the dead that harm you, it's the living!
I was working at a school once in Plumstead, installing a load of drinking fountains. While doing this particular fountain on the ground floor, i had a feeling that i was not alone, someone was behind me. Now it was the summer holidays so the only other person in the whole school was the caretaker and he was in another block. I was a bit trashed i'll admit, but i worked on while talking to myself to take my mind of it. When i was done i tracked the caretaker down and spoke to him. He said that several people get that felling in that part of the building and that a few had actually seen something there.
Take care folki, the nomad

I love stories, especially unexplainable ones!
About 3 or so years ago I was renting an apartment in the UK and a mobile phone was thrown across the living room in drunken anger by my friend. The next morning I looked for it everywhere, moved furniture, etc. but it was gone. I put it out of my mind and about a week passed. One morning the same friend who threw the phone appears in the bedroom looking like he's seen a ghost, saying my joke was not funny at all. Not having a clue what he was talking about, he explained that the phone was on one of the chairs, but he wouldn't touch it. I flew downstairs and there it was! Quite a few friends mentioned similar stories and talked about "openings" where things pass through, including a house just outside of town where various stuff falls onto the roof from "wherever"; I think the owner keeps them... I decided to just accept and not dwell on it.
In the garden of that same house a nice bag of cashews (or was it pistachios, can't remember for sure now) was left outside the little shed, the back gate was always locked and no one I knew had put them there. I said "thanks kind fairies" and enjoyed eating them.
These are just 2 of many unusual experiences in that oh so special town I love and miss.

have you or any other folki ever heard of the "Bear People"?
When sitting on the Tor up against the tower listening to music I love - eyes closed, completely calm and drifting - in my minds eye I see small mostly dark haired people wrapped in various coloured furs, some with children and all holding wooden staffs, climbing up the side of the hill towards me. I've been told by a man raised in Cornwall in the "old ways" that these are the Bear People. I've seen them a few times and always more time has passed than it seemed before "going inwards".

Yeah i used to be a right sceptic but you know we only see as much as our mind is open to. If you're not open to it, you'll either not see it or not understand what you've seen, where am i? Who am i? I'm the nomad! Bajan, never heard of the "Bear people" but i've not been down that way since i was a kid. I'm off to work folki, take care, the nomad |
