| Hey Folki, thought we should have a contrast to the "favorite" thread..... For me it has to be internal organs or offal which i believe is the correct term. Liver, Kidney, Hearts, Tongue, agghhh NASTY! I sat down to a christmas dinner one year, poured on the gravy and got the scent of kidney. The gravy had been made using meat juices from a previous meal. Ruined it for me. Whats your most detested food? |

| Bang, I've seen that down south somewhere, the square sausage meat. You can get it in some supermarkets in a block. You just cut it to the thickness you want & cook it up. Brown sauce, mmmmm. What one, HP or Daddies? Take care, nomad |

| it's brown sauce for me, must be a good one though, none of that cheap rubbish. I never have tommy yacker. I've seen many a southern shandy drinking softie (LOL) desecrate a roast dinner with red sauce. I hope no-one takes offence at my southern bit, I am southern and my old neighbour who was a brummy used to call me that, all in good spirits though! Take care, nomad |

by it self the dragon fruit is bland, but in with other food, it can be a tasty and eyepleasing dish. Here are two reicipes for you to try: Tropical Dragon Fruit Sauce 4 Peach halves in light syrup 1 Cinnamon stick 2 Dragonfruits, peeled and cubed 1 cup raspberries 1/4 cup Orange Liqueur (optional) 1 cup Vanilla Ice cream
Drain peaches and reserve the juice. In saucepan, bring peach juice and cinnamon stick to a boil, then simmer for 10 minutes. Poor liquid over peach halves and cool. In a blender puree the Dragon fruit, raspberries and liqueur. Refrigerate, place peach halves in dessert cups, garnish with a scoop of ice cream and top with dragon fruit sauce.
Dragon Fruit Boats
200 g. Chicken and Prawn meat (cut into pieces) 2 Dragon Fruits 1 Kiwi fruit 9skinned and cut into pieces) 2 Strawberries ( cut into pieces) 1 1/2 tbsp Oyster sauce 1 1/2 tbsp Sugar Mint for garnish 5 tbsp Water 2 tsp Lime juice 2 tsp Corn starch
Cut dragon fruit into halves, lengthwise. Scoop out the flesh and cut into pieces. Keep the skins. Stir fry chicken and prawn meat, add sauce mix, cook until sauce thickens. Stir in all fruits, serve hot in the dragon fruit skins. Garnish with mint.

I am with you Bill, organ meat is bad. Liver tastes like eating dry dirt, and kidney yuk, no no no. Beef heart is good if it is done the right way. |
