| Hello there Setaside, an a great day it was altogether. We bin re-roofin a grimston usin them long plastic covered tin sheets. Lot better than them short ones coz theres no cross joints an thats where they all ways leaks. Anyways, it made it plesure to be out in it, just like your chickens we was ha ha. Glad to hear your chickens is doin so good, just shows what a bit o natural outside livin can do for a animal, an the eggs taste better as well. As for music, well now, i bought this yoke so as i could download it onto me i pod machine. When i first saw an heard my lads i pod few years go i new that i had to have one o them things so i said to him ,i,ll buy one an you can put music on it for me offa your computer but he try to explain how as he couldnt do it coz my music was diffrent to his an my music would be mix up wi his an in the end i said STOP i buy one o them yokes an do it me self. Now when he stops laughin an simmers down he says as how he will help me with it an show me the basics , o course when i buys this thing an takes it out the box i just sat lookin at it an thinkin , what in the nameo did ya go an buy a thing like that for, an you an ol tramp navvy what can,t even set the video, but i got a young lad who,s son o frient of ours an he set it up fer me an showed me how to get the music onto this yoke an then onto me mp3 player. ( in the end i bought a creative zen ) an now when i,m in the garden i plays it through a rechargable radio an i,ve great time of it. So after all that ramblin, yes my friend, i love all the old fifties rock an the swing stuff as well. Next weekend in our village ( haworth ) they has the 40s weekend an its the biggest thing of its kind in the country, evrybody comes from all over world an they is all dressed up in second world war uniforms, american gi,s british tommies, even german soldiers. Theres machine gun posts down main street, churchill gives a speech from the steps o the black bull, george formby,s there an in afternoon theres a fly past of usually a spitfire an a lancaster bomber. At night theres swing bands in the main hall an great crack for all. Ok my frient, nice to hear from ya. all the best------kilby------ |

hello all, I'm alright, keeping myself busy at home in this nice weather. Last night I went to a church meeting and they were saying that many people try to be what they think others want them to be, but in this they loose there own identities and then after a time they find themselves lost in a life of there own making. It shows that we need to make sure we are being ourselves with-out being selfish in attitude, live lovingly but remember to be loving to yourself too.other thinks I have been doing are my house. Sometime we may think that the meanial day to day tasks are boaring and unpreductive, but I've found it also can be very rewarding to make the best of what we have. I've got my gardens tidy'd, groomed and seeded, and i've got my house work all under control. I am doing a course about healthy eating, thats what keeps me busy on a wednesday. I might be shifting at the weekend. It's the time of year to make a start to shift away. my dad will be going away in his wagon, but i dont know what we'll be going in because we have no trailer. theres always one of the other wagon's i supose. I hope the weather holds up. I love the warm weather.

| Hello everyone. I have been busy with work and stuff round the house. Kilby that 40's thing sonds fascinating. I was really into the 2nd world war as a kid (I was a tomboy) and well done for sorting your music out. My two lads are way beyond me now with gadgets and stuff. My partner has bought himself some tomato plants so have to see if he has any luck with those. He's not even got the grow bag yet so he'd better hurry up before they die in the tiny pots they are in now! I've got what seems to be an allergy that's come up this last night. My face is all puffy and red and my neck's itchy. Never had that before, could be anything but I have changed all my bedding and got new pillows to be on the safe side with that. Who went to church? Valerie? What you are saying is very true I have been thinking along those lines a lot these last few days. Hope everyone is well. The sun's gone now for a bit, it was nice while it lasted :) |

Hello all, hi Fee, well now, if ya was keen on ww2 an that sort o thing then the 40s weekend would a been right up your street. The village was packed, it was lika an invasion itself wi all the people. The aircraft was a dakota this year an we seen it as it circled the village. Real good turn out. Me sister ran a stall an tombola an made over £250 for charity an that was just a tiny thing. Get your fella to plant them toms up as soon as he can, the sooner the better an theres no compare to shop bought when ya taste em ha ha. The rash i cant help ya wi but i hope its nothin serious an has clear up by now. Thats all for now an its back to work in morn roofin. all best for now-------kilby------ |

hello all, i'm just popping in to say hello. hope your all well. I'll be back about when i have time. did you see many people passing kilby, Gaskins will be passing some-time today i seen them setting off from where i am at 11 today. they have anice reading wagon and there bow tops a nice one as well. I'm stopping up the country with my dad and his brother and sister and there family's. the damp waether thats come in this last few days will have made your baby's arthritus flare up a bit did it. it didnt half get me this last few nights. I'm not so bad now though, thank God, I've had loads of prazyer and that seems to have done the trick as they telled me it would never get any better than how i was a year or so back. but I have done well i only get a bit of stiffness and the pains only here some-times. I have weeks with no pain, but the damp in the air seems to be setting it off these few days. but i'm outside at night a lot more when we're shifted where when i'm at home i oly spend a lot of time outside at night if its clear and thers not as much moisture in the air. any-way i'm just rambling .lol. did you have a good weekend, i bet you was working and not having a rest like youshould do.llol. ah well, i'll see yous soon. |

Hi Valerie, we just got back from see spesielist at airdale hospital. The babys arthritus is very bad just lately so i took her on to see this man an i bin in with her an i told him the crack an how it wasnt good enuogh, anyways, he is arrange for her to go in as out pasient an there gunna inject this chemo stuff into her to see if that will work. Itolt him if he shows me how to do it that i will inject her. She wont go into that ol hospital, she,s as bad as me an we dont like to go in there an she dont like to be where i arnt there. I just told her you was askin for her an she says she hopes yyours simmers down an keep warm.
Last saterday young Price an his wife ( Ward lass ) shifted, before they went there was few trailers pull onto where they bin campt an they all went together on sat. There was just one trailer left an that was one with big ginger buck who camped up past tip at cross roads near haworth for years. Will he be her dad, i know years go he had few little girls up by us.
Where i live out neaar haworth we use to hear em all pasing early in mornin but that was when they was still on steel strakes ( hoops, tyres ) whatever ya wants to call em but now i think there mainly on rubber tyres so we dont hear em as much. If ya see Danny Hall up at Appleby will you ask him if he has a Elijah Hall in his line who was married to a Anne Carter from Wibsey an who lived in Bowling, Bradford ? If he has then that was my grandad on my father side.
Right, have a super time an like the baby says, keep warm an dry an enjoy the crack-----kilby----- |

Anyways, if i got the right lad an im sure as i have then give drop me a line an ya can send me some pics o your rescue hens an i,ll send ya some o me runner beens ha ha.
Ispent today early in garden coz we,ve no work till next monday ( no harm, it,ll be after us ) an then me an the baby had a funral of a 75 year old ex landlady what was a bit of a carhecter an the village church was full, very nice for husband an family . Then i started to cut down a big illow tree from me veggie garden, jeeez what a job when ya doin it on your own , ya know when thers too o ya an its still hard for puttin ladders up an things but when i,m doin it on me own coz the baby cant help me any more an she alwase use to an her as strong as a ox well now she can,t do it now an it kills her for she, not one for sittin back an was always mighty worker. Strange old world my friend an the lady who we went to her funral today well she was at the baby,s sister funral just bout a month ago an today she was at her own. The moral o this is " if ya think ya gunna die, move to manchester n miss it ha ha see ya --------kilby------- |

| Hello everyone hope you are all well. Kilby it's nice to be called a young lady because I will be 43 next month and my boys think I am ancient. Inside I am 17 as we all are ;0) Been busy, had the day off work today to get stuff done and been walking where I would've taken the car, saving the pennies and getting some fresh air and exercise. Funny weather, it was raining earlier then cheered up a bit for the evening so I got my grass cut. Must be frustrating for your wife Kilby not being able to help you like she used to |
