| just wondered what people think makes a gypsy a gypsy is it your blood or your up bringing or do you think you need both to truly be a gypsy or if you have no gypsy blood but where adopted by gypsies would you then be a gypsy?? |

| you remind me of my Mother,same ways,you know She wouled get up on the mike in the pub and sing songs, there was no discos or kareokee then but folks wouled sing along to someone playing a keeboured or piano,She alwayes dressed up like something you wouled know ,real beautiful, She had a real beaver skin coat and Golden coins on Her fingers, and dangerling from Her eares, evan brouchers of Golden coins, you know She couled fight to,real good,She lerned it of Her Brothers for if you dint fight back you wouled be walked on, yet She had the most beautifulest heart,so much love you wouled think not one person couled posess,but i seen Her with my own two eyes clean knock this gorja mush out stone cold when he says he was going to hit one of my Brothers,lol,thats what Aaron must meen in His sayeing, lol |

| what a lovely think to be liken to someone who sounds so cushty a proper old needie women sounds a bit like me own mum ..would do a murder other us chavvys ..espesually me as i am the baby lol ..and narr aaron really do mean i am hard lol but only cus he cant get his own way with me lol well not all the time ....but when it comes to me children well they would say my heart was as soft as putty in their hand lol ..thats cus they can rap me around their finger most of the time ...they only got to look at me all sorryfull and i melt lol |

| tell them good thoe Rosie, let them know the way of it,we had lots of love but times where hard in there ways when i lived my first yeares,thoes are the yeares that make a man,all else just followes on the first several yeares of a childs life determins there life,tell them good,tell them of your ways,tell them of your old folk and there ways,thoes yeares can never be brought back and thats where people go wrong in thinking they know peoples ways just becourse they come from the same breed,you have to know to know and never if you can Rosie let it slip,to many fall by the wayside,to many loose what served people well,you have to move forwards but never ofload the wieght that you shouled not see as a burden,the future is for the young thoe and times change but to loose who you are wouled be a sad thing indeed, pride in your People,Respect in there ways ,what more wouled a man want wrote on his twom stone |

what makes a gypsy a gypsy?depends what sort of gypsy you are talking about.a romany guypsy can only be made from romany perants,same with sinti or kalderdash and all the o thers.their mums and dads must be of the blood of the tribe they claim to be from.if if a romany was taken from its perants at one day old and lived all its life with gaujos it would still be a romany!!!
now i am born of jewish perantage but have always lived amongst gypsies and i have married two romanies(at different times!!!!)my step father has just found he is of romany lineage right down through his fathers line!!!so i understand the ways of the roms very well especially as a lot of the customs are so similar to the jews anyway.so i consider my self to be a jewish messianic gypsy!!!!!but i dont belong to any of the recognised tribes in the gypsy folkis but my romany family through marriage say i am more like them thean they are themselves and they always count me as one of them and say i am a daughter of the birch tribe!!!!their words not mine.the main thing for me is i am loved by them and we live happily together in our extended family. |

| i'm lucky Micheal in that my chavvys is good chavvys even if they is loud lol and mostly cus of me dad they know all the old stories and ways and are as proud of what they are as i am ..don't know if i told ya but my oldest girl pearly who is 16 is getting marred next year and the little travelling boy she is marrying cant make her or us out half the time when we get up me dad's me, me brothers, and sister and a few of the granchavvys and we is all rokkering at once and me dad keeps telling us to ark cus he wants to tell us one of his old stories we have all hear about a hundred times before lol and my Aaron boy and sherry girl could tell the stories word for word lol ..me mum's place is our meeting place even though we is all living on the same site ..we dont walk up each others tralers much cus we all head for me mums |

| hello cathayb call me Rosie and ur right real nice compliment that want it that micheal gave me ..you left a message for me and my friend jo(carrot face)lol on Romany roots message board thank you for that that was nice of you would have thank you on there but aint gonna post on there no more as don't like me messages keep getting denied lol ..and sort of got meself in a row with a girl on there and although i let it go weeks ago she still keeps harping on about it lol ...want mind if i got to answer her back when she leaves a message but like i said me messages aint being put on lol ...anyways moving on i think you are a friend of a few of my friends like Kerry and Mary who runs Romany road shes a lovely lady btw anyways nice to say hello to you loves Rosie xx |
