| i been thinking that their should be a rumness name for Romany Gypsies that have not been brought up Gypsy when i first come on the net i use to see anyone that want brought up in the Gypsy life style as a gorger but since talking to people on here and learning more my opinon has changed and i no longer see them as gorgers yet i cant say i see them fully as Romany Gypsies either so i was thinking maybe a new name should be made up to explain Romany Gypsies that have been brought up out of the culture, i know in the past a name was not needed but now with so many poeple with Romany blood being brought up in a gorger world i feel their is, we have had to come up with new names for things in the past like drag,and other things that have been invented so why not a word to explain a Romany Gypsy Brought up gorger, am i just being divvy is this a stupid idea what do you think??? |

Hi Rosie mate , i suppose i,m eggzacly what ya on bout an i jus ever use tothink o meself as comin from good gypsy stock wi a dash o this an a sprinkle o that jus to make the whole a bit more spicy xx

| Kilby my good friend i hope in the years to come we have many times were we set and have the craic as you would say cus ya have give me so much already like the story of the bridge and my lovely poem books that i treasere and that sweet name i love and also the sweet name i long for i love the both of them and it was cushty to hear ya say them only wish i could have recoreded ya saying them so i could hear the beatuful words when ever i wanted, cus i still aint sure how to say them but they is lovely words, dont think i ever told ya that i like and dislike words lol all part of being a poet i guess lol loves rosie xxx |

hi gang, jus quick word on this coz i,m goin to seaside tday an we,s takin us foldin bikes an maye paddlin if its good enuff.
Scots Gypsies have a word for sumbody who leaves the road an settles in a house an that word is SCALDY,

Now my dear Roma of England , in English we are Gypsies, but the fool blooded are all Rom, and will always be Rom, or Roma, for plural, beause the Roma, which I refer to are still living mostly our old ways of living and old cultural ways, now as for me I am a pure Rom, and learned to live like a Brazilian and nuturaly Romanes, it is not easy, but it is not impossible, this name Gypsy, I find it abusive because I think it comes from the word Gyp, which in my time, or even now it is supposed to mean to be dishonest, lieyer etc, etc, but I agree, that we have been mixing for centuries now, so there are Gypsies, and Gypsies, some chose the life to travel others are in their houses, some like that they have a little Gypsy blood others don't, so my reader this is a free world, live as you see fit, this is a short life, injoy it while you can, my family for instance I calculated that with in 20 years there will be no Romano blood in my family because my family is completly intrigatet in the Brasilian society, so it really does not matter what other name you are looking for instead of Gypsies, in the history of this world of ours, we will always be called Gypsies, but I prefer Rom, or Roma
