i'm of for the pklane now, trashed lol. but mad for a drink lol.
hey pal i wont be back for a bit but look after ya self and i saw a cat catch a young rabbit in the woods and me follow the track and whatch but the cat ate the head clean of first then ran away when it saw me , i looked at the young rabbit and sure enough its head ate clean of,
whats that about i dont know but me born in a terrace house in the cold attick and no fire no central heating no nothing but i lived most my life in the country, worked the land, virgin land and traveled more miles than the Tachi's but it waws me the city boyo who smelled her out yet it was them who slated and betrayed the teller of the truth, yet they now run from this site and have there own sites ,have there money makeing sc ams yet they say how there Romany,sal sal sal, there 's a dost of Tach'o Rumnee's who log on here from lots of Folkie and they believe me now and know now the truth ,

I bin offa here for good while coz me ol bag o tricks was broke so i didnt know whats bin happenin. I,m jus gunna open the bar meself an have a little gargle. Another one of the baby,s people has died beyond an they,s goin to bury him sunday but fraid we cant make it wi the baby bein so bad wi the artheritus, i,m even havin to inject her meself now an i think it,s doin a bit o good. Yo Lyz, an Setaside, where are ya, bin lookin fer ya since i got back on. Ya know them robins an there chicks as i was feedin,well i can,t remember if i tolt ya or not but if i have then humour me please ha ha, Anyways, one o them chicks is a pity an his beek is twisted ( if ya looks down on it from behind then the top part is at twelve o clock an the bottom bit is at five past )
well with his beek that way he,s ffindin it awful hard to pick up an its a wonder he,s still alive. Anyways, to make it easier for him i bin feedin him the meal worms on a piece o sponge an he dont take no notice o me, thinks as how i,m his dad hah. Last wensday meself an Pat was layin some stone flags up villiage bout 300 yds from where i feeds em on my veggie plot an when i stands up from what i was doin ,there he was on a stone wall at head hieght an the craw open an wings shakin for food, i tolt him i,d be down home saas soon as i could an i,d give him the grand meal an he hung bout for a while then went on his way, now thing is that when i got back in from work there was no sign o him an i havn,t seen him since so i just hope as he,s ok an he was ony callin to say thanks an so long. | Kilby thats a grand thing you done and how lucky for the little bird to trust ya ,it just reminds one of the beauty in this world and how its the simple things in life that are so wonderfull a pity more of the world dont see the beauty of our world and the nature all around us!! there to busy trying to ruck or disagree or bully others well done on ya and thanks for sharing it with us. |

Hi all good folki, just bin readin all the letters an arnt we gettin busy an evry body playin nice. I read one thing other day an she said bout her dad sayin "get ont back ot wagon lass" an o course it was like smellin a relitive or bringin sumthin outa the past thats bin lost. i forgottingleyot who said it but ya must be from my neck to speak like that ? Do ya know of any sprrings in Cottingley ?
Valerie, i read your story an thought it was very good, ya should put more bits an peeces on for the likes o me who was born from the old breed o gypsy but was born after they came offa the road.
Now, Michaleen ogh, last i read ya was talkin bout people not understandin the languige an i,m fraid pal that i,m at a loss where that goes coz i never had no body to teach me an pass it on (would realy have liked to know how to talk it ) but it wasnt to be an thats the way of it.
while ya was away was away i did get a couple o things done, i bought a grave for me an the baby in the cemitry up on the edge o the moors above haworth, me dad is buryed upthere an me mammy will go with him when her time comes so ive bought a plot at the back o them, that cost£629 , if it was at side o path it woulda cost bout £850.
Anyways, while we was at it i saw undertaker from coop an paid for us too funrals as well, £5,212-50p dont no where they got the 50p from sal. It ony reely struck home what i was doin when he ask me if i want burryin in me own close or in like a smock/ shroud thing so i tolt him i wanted me own close cloths clothes an i wanted me hat on as well, i thought he was gunna piss his self an the baby went quiet an when he left she wasnt suited an said it didnt seem right somhow to be askin them things but i said as long as i was payin then i should be able to be have me hat on when i go an thats the end of it.. Anyways its done nowall an it all goes in place an the baby wont have the same botherhas to do is make one phone c an did ya know that undertakers all over country puts there prices up twice a year, evry year.
I didnt do it for that though i did it coz just o late we had lot people in the babys famly die an i seen all the stress as it puts on the person whats left an if i go first an that seems likley then all our lad will have to do is make one phone call an it will all be done an baby wont have all the bother. run outa space. be good------kilby----- |

not nice to think of things in sad things but your doing for the right thoughts, boy it must of been well diffecult for you,i hope you dident missunderstand what i ment about words ,it dont make no difference, its just some go on about horses and me never evan seen one,you know all them things and talk of things that i like but know nothing in or about them,
its funny somepeople like Lee Boy new everything about most things, some only know certain things of certain things, some know nothing pure nothing at all but come on the web to find out a missing link,

Hi Cuba, likes you picture, its a belter, cant seem to get no photo o mine on here an i got some good ones o horses an stuff, maybe its me ugly ol mush that this box o tricks as taken the dislike to sal sal.
Now Mickaleen, ya done the grand job wi your photos an i found em on that galery like ya said,very good.
Did ya ever play wi ferrets an dogs when ya was young fella ? i was never without a ferret in me poket, first one i ever got was a small jill polecat an i used to take her to school wi me, after school, me an a mate o mine would grab the dogs an off up the fields that run jus below the moors an that time rabbits was like fleas hoppin evrywhere, once the dog had set the tidiest burrow we,d net the holes up an pop her in, they,d hit the nets runnin as long as ya was real quiet an we could bag half a dozen wi no bother . Sometimes jus by chance she might kill down the hole an then it was the long wait till she came out an if she decide to do bit o peepin, lookin outa the hole an back in agen then we might block the holes up an come back the nex day. Ten bob a bun in them daysan that was pretty good goin fer young fellas. Iremember that little jill like yesterday ,i bought her from a butcher an i paid him ten bob for her, he said he,d leave her for me in a box out the back in a outside toilet an evry day on me way to school i looked in there but he always forgot till one mornin she was there, was like winnin the pools an it caught me breath when i saw her in the little box. to tell you the truth Kilb there was none of that where i came from,you only had to go a few miles out the town and the locals wouled all know them things and in them for years them ways,i'v met a few like your self down the line and all good people of the country ways,
in the inner city youled find people dack then ,lots to who where stone mad into pigeons,in little terrace streets to with a small back yard down little entrys ,warrens of little entrys and back to back terrace houses with out side tiolets some comunial,these where the warrens i knew,
but we wouled venture out our concrete field, evey chance we got ,there was big woods and country side on ly a few miles out and gangs of us wouled every week set of for trhe woods,we knew albout birds,all there colors and size where they nested and the songs they sung,we woulent eat all day ,just walk and climb till we desided to head back,every one had a dog, all strays to there was no fancyness about nothing, you wouled always have scraped knees and hair like an old Tinker,it was no use haveing bran new clouths for you'led put an hole in them the first day let loose, our Mother wouled have to serch us out for we'ed never come home gone for the day wondering through old factorys that where delerict,
no there was no ferrets and no rabbit hunting, just plenty of fighting ,wondering abouts and mischief,i think the old english maybe did thoes things round our way, but maybe a generasion further back ,or like i said a few miles out and they was all like that whith lamping and badgering,they couled evan speak Romany words some of them ,been around Gypsys and picked it up for thats the place lots of Gypsys wouled traval through the outskirts of the big citys with thoes litle vilagers and vilage ways,
we wouled eat rabbit and phesent and game animals for my Uncle Billy wouled always bring some now and then,and the old Fellow stone mad for duck eggs,and i evan seen him eating massive geese eggs, pluss my Gran dad eating cows brains , them old ones where mad for eating the most madest of food,
fish and chips did me lol,and we wouled have bread and spread butter on then spricle sugar on top and that was the greatest thing in the worled, evan better dunk it in a mug of tea now that was special, down stairs was the oly fire in the house ,a coal fire and you wouled put pikelets on a big metal fork and toast them, there was a fancy ole gas fire in the front room but that room you was never allowed into,it was for guests only and looked like a show room, up stairs was the Sisters room and the main room for the Perants,the boys we lived up some other stairs in the attic, there was more beds than roob and the walls where only studed plasterbourd, there was no heat and your breath wouled come out like smoke, in thoes days you wouled have home made continental quilts,these are several blankets made into one big blanket,happy days the best, |

| Its a shame ya didnt get a bit o rabbitin in Mickaleen, ya would a took to it like a duck to water. I havnt done any in years but i still keep a tidy rifle an any rats down me llotment dont do long , thats bout ony thing id be botherd bout whakin now, birds is gettin lot less year by year, i remember when fields on edge o moors were full o peewits, some woult calls em lapwings or plovers but now since they do lot more silage there mowin the nests up before chicks get a chance to fledge. When i was kid we had big black yorkie range an me ol lady would do all bakin on that, was luffly to come home from school an smell the new bread coolin on bread flake up on seelin. I remember we had blankets on bed an i use to love lookin at picteres on em an it was ony years later i new that these luffly eagles was german swstikers , me da had fetch em back from germany when he come home from war, when he went back offa leave ho rapped rubber iner tubes for bikes round him an he swapped em to dutch fer silks an other stuff. he fetch a pearl handle revover home but me too older brothers was shootin it up the yard so me ma made him get shut haha he use to eat cows hearts an tripe an cow heel an all that stuss. see ya later pal-----kilby----- |

one of the things that stays in my mind from childhood was the old airade shelters, they where from the war and abandoned yet still all over the inner citys right up till the seventys round our way,some where deep underground shaft bore into the sand stone rock that nottingham is built on ,some are or where just made of cocrete and brick but the adventures we had serching them out, and old writings and things on the wall and all over the place,
there no longer ababdened but demolished or bricked up and filled in but a legasy of a time or two before me, yet great fun for the young mind and adventure behond dreams |

| yes back working ,not a bother,yes i'm a city boy,and true children are children where ever they live ,if there alowed to live like,as for putting photoes on ,no i dont know how to do it, i can put them on members gallery but not on the forum,, ask Cuba she will exsplain its just i think my camera takes them to big in there picsills and theres a way to down size them but not got round to solveing that,its not hard to put them on just click on the brouse button in the new post section at the bottom of this page, this will take you into your computer and you selcet a photo by clicking on its number then it down loads onto the forum ,just ask one of the girls on here they will help if you dont understand me,i can not do it for my photoes are to big in some way but the photo gallery ecepts them eny size,i think its because Angel said its to do with space ,as in useing up to much space, |

| Hiya Kilby il try and put a pic on of what you click LOL if you have pic right click and tick open with windows pictures and fax viewer then click edit and compress and tick the option for web page,then click "save as" and it will save just give it a name and then when ou close the fax viewe it will ask if you want to save but this time say no and that way you keep your original picture the size it was pheww!! lets see if i can put the diagram or rather a snippet view of the menu in the fax viewer. |

Hello Cuba an thanks again for help but i bin tryin to talk to that computer like ya say, ask it this an it,ll tell ya that well i don seem to get through to it an i dont even know this computer an i feels a bit daft sorta tryin to talk to it, i sounds like the village idiot now salsal, Anyways, ive sent a couple o pics to Shhanne an maybe she will put em on for me if she finds time. Me an the baby use to go to a luffly little pub in too villages up called stanbury ,thats near to wutherin heights, an a super little pub but goin on too years gone she got sick an said she should stop smokin so i stopped same as her an i wouldnt go to no pub after that till that smokin ban came in an then we wasnt put in way o temptasion, now by the time that smokin ban came in we was outa the habit o goin to the pub an we never bin since, it mus be all habit

Mickaleen, not much to report but a ol friend o mine has died, he was 81 an pure craic, hes the one what never bin to no docter since he come outa army in 1948, they had no record o him, anyways ,one time we was in the bar an this big shot toff landlord was tellin some other body as how he was a spitfire pilot in war an him wi the handle bar moostash , well Steve who i,m on bout , this landlord asks him " an what did you do in the war my man" now, Steve says, " i was in the long range desert group" an this gadje says, " were you indeed" an Steve says, " it was so long a range we run outa desert "sal sal
