As I am new to this board and due to past problems that resulted in the board being abandoned for a long time and also in view of recent events. I have been advised by the Board owner to just Moderate and step in when required to, and I also feel that it is the best way to maintain the board and keep a healthy non-biased approach.

| Thanks Rosie , i had to laugh at your word needies !!after recent events seems some people dont think its a Romany word, ( I have heard many people use it ) but thanks for your kind words and I hope the board will remain here for a long time yet ! I intend to nip any trouble in the bud .:)) |

| well mod i aint gonna let divs stop me using a word i have used all me life i have grown up saying either travellers or needies ...its true i would say travellers more but when talking on the net i like to say needies cus their are lots of gorger people that i have a rokker to on here and if i said travellers to them they could take my meaning to be all travellers such as Irish and gypsies from other countries or the new age travellers but when i say needies i hope they take my meaning as what it as meant which is English Romany travellers which i am ...after all the talk on here about the needie thing i ask me dad about it was it a new word that gypsies where using and he told me he didn't know how old the word was but that he had used it all his life and so had his father my dad is 73 he said as far as he knew it was a old gypsy word so that is good enough for me ...and even if it wasn't a old Romany word but a new roamy word that had come about in the last 200 years if all gypsies use it as they do in my book that makes it a true gypsy word ...cus after all all language started somewhere because i believe that cavemen couldn't speak they only grunt hahahaha anyways good luck again mod rosie x..btw although i class meself as a gypsy like i said i don't use that word as i like to try and type like i talk cus then people get a sense of who i really am and i don't say gypsy when talking as i said i say needie or travellers |

| That's a interesting topic Rosie, I've never thought of how old the word Needie is, just always been there, I love it, even if it might mean we were all in need years ago when times were hard for our for Fathers, just another thought ! I get e-mails from a muskero who is now a officer for the needie site's, he makes me laugh because he always signs off, Kev the Gavver ! then one day I signed off a return e-mail, Chris the needie, he soon asked me what the word meant, he never heard it before ha !he dont seem a bad sort.

| Your not wrong there Rosie, I would be far too trashed of emm, to talk to em, even if I'd done nixxie wrong ! but its funny how that went, when they need my advice, it took me 2 years to feel better talking to them, but I still pinch meself sometime'. we're all kushti, hope you and yours are too.x |

| hi all.cathayb here again happy and smiling.beginning to get my family problems sorted.its funny how when they are babies your arms ache but when they are adult your heart aches!!!!!!mine has the last few weeks but we all seem to mending from hurts caused to our family now thank goodness.i too voluntarily work with the gavvers in the diversity area and in laising between roms and police when theres trouble.i am of course on the roms side but we seem to work things out amicably enough now adays.i think they have been told to build relationshis with us and our community officer is a sweetie and has done a lot for us. |

Hi Cathayb, yea your right, it was nothing to do with the gavvers, it was the government, better relations btw us and them, still I think its a start hey, at least they listen, I even was asked --- now you are off the road, and live in a house, does that mean you are no longer a Romany Gipsy ?? I have been asked things I thought everyone knew.  |
