I am regularly disappointed at the comments which are written on the online version of this local paper relating to gypsies and travellers. It really shows how nasty people can be to complete strangers and how opinions are formed even when they know nothing of the situation. Check out these links below..some are good some bad. "Gypsies" seem to be a hot topic for the press in my local area, probably thanks to the popularity of the controversial TV show "Big Fat Gypsy Weddings"...

Not this year's news but still interesting I think. Maybe we are making progress with the local Councils. One can hope!

T's gal you must be knowing by, now that the press in your county, that for a scoop they will sell their own mother, they , not even for moment think what that news that they write might break up famalies, change the lives completly of people, for the worse and I mean my people the Roma/Gypsies, all they think about is about money, and as far as we Gypsies are conserned, they are not afraid that they might pay for the lies they usually write about us, and they know perfictly well that what ever they write about us Gypsies no one will complain to the local athourities, do not care, and even if some one will go to that press who wrote these lies he shall be beaten, and nothing will be done about even the police will help them beat the poor Gypsy, our God shall punish these reporters, that is for sure.
