| i hate both the words pikey and gypo and would never use them myself though i know some of my friends do and it is diffreant i feel for them to use them cus if enough gypsy called me a picky i would know they were only joking and not meaning it in a rascit way, but like i said myself i dont like the words and dont use them not even in a jokey way, and if i had my way they would never be used again by anyone |

| Hello Rosie and Kilby, I found this on the net so thought I'd copy and paste it, theres lots of origin of the word pykie but this one makes sense to me, what do ya think? Love Lyz
Pikey is a word that Romani Gypies use for non-Romani travellers. "They aren't real Romani (Gypsy) they are Pikies". It is also a word they used to use for a member of a Romani family who has committed an offence and the family coucil (called a 'Kris' in Romani and every true Romani family used to have one) has caste them out as punishment. The reason they are called "Pikey" is bacause it is regared amongst the Romani family that they never existed as one of the family hence Pikey = non-Romani traveller |

| Hi Everyone, yh cant beat the old times eh
Me mate Rosie is keeping me spirits up,and visits me, dont know what I'd do without her, and me mate Kilby is ringing to see how I am, doing ok at the mo, got op number 3 friday and op number 4 the following week, feel like a vampire getting topped up with blood all the time, hope to be back to me normal self soon lol
and a lot thinner!! Go careful on them roofs Kilby, cant have you in hospital as well x |

hi gang, mus be the time o year for folk gettin sick or sumthin, we has two o the baby,s crew in dock an our ol mate Lyz down in sunny surrey, don know how anybody gets sick down ther wi all that bootifull warm weather ya gets haha
anyways, ya soon get through them next ops an then ya be back to normal kid, speshially wi nurse Rosie lokin after ya.
Ask ya dad if he ever caught the rabbits by snaggin em wi a long piece o bramble Rosie, bet he,s used that ol ruse before tday an see if he ever hipnotised the hen by puttin there heads under there wing an strokin em till they goes to sleep, that way ya can leave a few in the one place as ya collects em, our Lyz thinks i,m kiddin her but i bets ya dad knows that ol trick as well, ok kids, nuthin to report reely so i,ll bid ye farewell till i hear from ye agen, ya ol mate -----kilby----- |

We are like the 3 muskateers eh we will be forever friends. cant wait for nite out with ya Rosie, Kilby will ya bail us out? hi kids, sure i,ll bail ye out if needs be but ya better not mucky ya ticket or ya might not get on that ol santa speshial, them ol gnomes o santa,s are very particlier who they lets on ya know so jus takes it easy an ya shoult be ok.
on roof tday i seen a lot o jackdaws millin round an causin an almighty row so i got down an went over to the stone wall above where they was circling, when i looked over ther was a big ol peragrine falcon coverin one o the jacks wi its wings , it had brought the jackdaw down an was ready to eat it but when it seen me it took off an all the rest o flock mobbed it. it managed to get itself up onto lower branches of a rowan tree an no sooner up there than four maggies turned up an ousted it back down agen, i knew the maggies woult a had them ol china blue eyes outa his head for sure so i climbed the stone wall an knawped the poor thin on back o its head wi me lead hammer , jus goes to show that ya not even sfe up a tree sumtimes eh, funny ol world kids, be good an take care-----kilby----- |

Oh the poor bird, ya did right though, yh they have stunning eyes dont they, what a shame, nature is wonderful but cruel sometimes, everything happens for a reason though even if we dont understand why, them green parakeets we has are nasty to the little birds, always shooing em away, but since we had woody they don't come in garden so much, ya take care on them roofs xxx |
