hi.not been on here for awhile but just looked in over the last couple of days and now today seen alot of the latest posts removed!!!shame i thought when leachim stated on about the traitor we were all going to get somewhere cause most places you go now the traitors identity has been blown!!!not nice talking with traitors though so i only post on a few well run boards now adays.i see my very good friends leachim and rosie have left and removed their posts so i doubt if i will bother again either. so as they were proberly the only two sensible folk on here.
thing is i reckon there are far too many gorjas not even living amongst the roms that are having far too much too say about roms and most of it detrimentry!!!!there sure are some gypsy haters out there these days using the boards to get at the roms where its difficult to get back at them in the usual ways of the romany!!!never mind.i am glad there are a few good sites about for romanys to partake in. |

| Hi Cathy and nice to see you posting again after so long , I think maybe you have misunderstood ? I'm not sure what you mean by your post and I'm sure other members will also be confused by it ? as there has been no trouble on the JF board it was a problem on BBC and Rosie posted about it here , since then it seems the two members you mention seem to have fallen out with each other and asked for their posts to be removed at their own request . any problems past or present from other boards I will not allow to affect this board nor will I allow this board to be used asa platform for personal grievances I hope you can understand, after the April Fools day joke I maintain a zero tolerance towards personal rows that should be dealt with privately and by the persons concerned and not forced upon innocent members . |

his is a message for my friends all the ladies on gmb and the lady from rg, i feel real bad inside because i feel like me and Michaels’ row as stirred up trouble between you all, i know you all ready have your trouble with each other, and it’s not fair that we should make it worse, i think i started it all, maybe i was to sensitive as i read a message on bbc kent that wasn’t very nice and got upset about it,( i have been having some nasty messages on youtube too but i think thats not to do with the gypsy sites but is someone that was a so called friend), anyways i knew Hamish wouldn’t let me post what i wanted to on bbc kent, so posted a message on jf cus was mad and only place i could think of to get my frustrations out, when Michael answered he write his words in a way that didn’t come across right (think he was a bit drunk lol) anyways at the same time he was posting some other stupid stuff on one of his own post and i thought he was meaning them at me, then someone else post and i put two and two together and come up with 50!!! As you all know i have a big amajnasion lol, anyways all of you ladies have only ever shown me kindness from both sides, and both have been very kind in promoting my book, also until all this kicked off neither side has said anything to me to try and turn me against the other, i have not really spoke to either side about the other, only about my poems or every day chit chat, and that’s the way i have liked it,i saw the rows you all had on the jib board and felt then and now that i didn’t want to take sides in sank that was nank to do with me, i judge people on how they treat me, and both side;s have only shown me kindness, so it would be unfair of me to pick sides i think i have blown this all out of proportion, it was just, i made friends with Michael a long time ago on enough site romani roots, and i truly liked him has i felt, like i still do, that he was truly a wonderful poet that i could learn from, so when i felt he had betrayed me it hurt me and made me question everyone else which was unfair of me has no one has ever give me any reason to, anyways i know to much as gone on between you all for you ever to be friends but i will say this time, this trouble had nothing to do with any of you, i would like to put this in the past and if you can all except me being friends with you all and not taking sides or not wanting to hear about either side’s trouble with each other has i will not talk about anyone with either side, then i would like to carry on being friends with you all and posting, that’s if you still want me!!!! Lol
to micheal i know to much as gone on for us to be pals but just want to say life go’s on and i hold no hard feelings, so raktut

I'm so glad that all has been sorted. It would have been a tragedy if Rosie had left the boards. Most will agree she is a wonderful kind and honest lady who is a real pleasure to have around.
Cathayb has hardly been on the boards because of her leg, in fact, she is about to go under the knife again this afternoon. Anyway, cath had only seen the posts where Rosie and Leachim were 'going' She didn't see the bbc rokka stuff and it upset her as I know she thinks the world of Rosie and appreciates her efforts wherever she posts. And also, I know her and 'L' have a good relationship on the Christian site. Its only because the 'traitor' word was being bandied around that she reacted to it.
I'm so pleased all is well and we should all look forward to brighter days and happier connections : )

| Well thanks for explaining things Cam, but I must admit that I cant remember any posts on the board saying they were leaving and the word "traitor" was only used by Cathay in this thread no one else mentioned it? so cant quite see why it invoked a reply such as this? , it was Rosie that was upset with Leachim ? So quite how this affects other board members puzzles me. |

As I said, Cathay was just upset because of her 2 friends, nothing to do with which boards, but 2 people she cares for. All folks look in on all boards mainly, and so know who gets along with who. Cathay has posted with both on here an this is where she read something about it thats why she posted hear I presume.
I'm just glad things are ok and that Rosie will keep posting. She well respected here and most other places and deservedly so. |

I realise that some members are also on other boards and in the past there has been problems as I witnessed myself on this board not long after I started moderating ! as the two people were actually rowing with each other and not the actual board or another member, to say that they were probably the only 2 sensible folk on here was hardly a fair
comment to make for other board members ,as this board has many members not just those mentioned and a few members did take offence at the post it is also quite a derogatory remark towards non Gypsies who also come on this board , I hope respect can be shown to Gypsy and Non Gypsy in fact all people who may be a member on this site regardless of their background or race. This site is actually paid for and maintained by a Gorga who does not live among the Roms !! Also the remark" its difficult to get back at them in the usual ways of the romany!!! could be taken the wrong way and be seen as inflaming something that is acted upon as soon as I notice it as after the past problems
on this board this was thought best to stop any trouble before it starts.

Hi everyone. Look I'm sorry if folks got upset by anything... Mod, it may just be easier to delete this thread instead of carrying it on. I for one do not want this board suffering. It is one of the most accessible on a search engine search and therefore new folki will always come here. So, facts, two members of this board fell out, and a third member reacted... NO BIG DEAL... seen no complaints on journey folki, so why not just end it here. No need for any agro on this lovely board that as you say is run by a gorga.
for those interested, Cathay got through the operati0n very well and so now the period of recovery begins. Thank you to eveyone for their prayers and good wishes to Cathy, it has bee a worrying time for her and Joe but hopefully, soon things will improve. xxx love cam xxx |

I am very sorry to hear everything that has gone on in this forum whilst I have been away :o(
Life is stressful enough, in general people tend to come online to escape the pressures of life and chat with friends - only to come face to face with dins such as these (not my professional termology of course, lol) . Sadly it is not just this forum that is affected it seems to be common practise across the boards (no pun intended).
I know what it is like as a couple of years ago I use to have a forum and in the end I just had enough and did not really have the time. I ended up giving it to some other people to deal with. As I found most of my time spent dealing with idiots. Once such case was a lady who I believe wasn’t of Romani heritage and was trying to close the board down. I am always suspicious of profiles with no information, but I gave her the benefit of the doubt and at first she seemed normal, but then she started to say she was being bullied – although she was the only person posting at the time! Then another person without a profile came on to back her up and that’s when I noticed their grammar was similar and they even made the same spelling mistakes! Talk about multi-personalities, lol. I got called all sorts of horrible names by both Romanies and non-Romanies and some of the abusive posts I used to receive were ridiculous. All because I wanted to create a site for people who were seriously interested in researching their traveller roots. The way I see if someone has an issue with the forum they should contact the moderator directly, rather than posting it in the board for all to see or at worst trying to turn people against each other/shite stirring – that to me is just attention seeking.
I think the moderator on Journey Folk seems to be doing a really good job at keeping the rift raft out and hopefully this site will be buzzing again like it used to be,

Hello,
I was born in India and moved to The Netherlands.
On my trip to Romania, a few weeks ago, I coincidentally met a Gypsy man, Mikhail, with whom I got friendly. He happened to be a musician and played in a Gypsy band in Vaslui, Romania.
They play beautiful music and have also sell their CDs in the local music store.
I wanted to help them by buidling a website for them so that they could promote their music and also sell their music to make some extra money.
The problem is that only one of them speaks and understands some basic words of English, not enough for a simple conversation.
It is therefore impossible for me to help this Gypsy music group with a website of their own as I need to discuss their needs and what I can and cannot do for them.
IF there is anybody Gypsy who speaks English and Lovari (Gypsy language) and willing to help translate things or convey messages, it would be great as this would help this music group generate some extra income and help their community.

| I am so sorry that I cannot help some Gypsies individually,because I am an independent activist I have contact with the Human rights, to try and help those who are really in misiry in Ghettos anywhere in EU. these Gypsy band that you talk about as I see i they have work and are not desperarte, I apriciate your concern, if you want to help you must try and find anempresario for them, I work only for the misry Gypsies, I wish I could do something about it but I just cannot this not my job, although it makes me feel bad because I am a Russian Lovari, there are other Gypsies webs, why don't you try the Romsknet they have radio stations, send them a cd who knows it might work, besides there are a loy of Lovara's workin for this Romsknet web site.
