I'm Donna and I have just found this website so I thought I would leave a greeting message to introduce myself. I'm half Romany on my fathers side, my Gt Grandfather was a Buckley and my Gt Grandmother a Loveridge. I feel proud and blessed to have such a colourful family history. I'd love to find out more and I hope to make some friends along the way.

Thanks for the welcome, I'm living in Nottingham these days but was born in Lancashire. I'm married now but my Maiden name is Buckley, I know that there are still loads of Buckley's around the Midlands and East Anglia. Would be nice if I managed to get in touch with some of them!

Hi everyone and thanks for your replies, My Great Grandmother was nicknamed 'Minty' although her name was Jasmin (Loveridge), and she was married to John Buckley. I never got to meet either one of them although I've been told many stories! I know that thay are laid to rest in Eastwood along with other family members and there are stll surviving relatives living there. What I'm trying to do is link John Buckley upto Santalina Buckley,(also at Eastwood) I have been told that they were brothers. Can anyone confirm if they were related or not? I'm also trying to find out as much as I can about 'Minty', as I know nothing of the Loveridge side of the family. Thanks for your help, Donna

Hi there, I am scott. I am just on here to say Romany gypsies earn my respect. The reason is. I think there should be more families like romany gypsies. Very honest and loyal people. I think romany gypsies in england would be good. I for one think its a culture of fantastic people. I am not just saying it because i am of irish background. My late granddad was an proper irish guy. Man of his word. The way a roman catholic irish man should be
