I have been asked to post a message from ROMANI ROOTS, it's below.

A LETTER FROM ROMANI ROOTS.
We would like to clarify our position regarding the JOURNEY FOLKI site.
We at ROMANI ROOTS are not affiliated to or involved in the adminstration of the JF site. We are aware that a number of our members are also members of this site and we unconcerned by this as it in no way reflects negatively on ourselves or our members.
We do appreciate that the previous administration/ management of this site has been removed and their priveledges and membership withdrawn. However, due to the negative legacy left by previous events and persons, it has been deceided that ROMANI ROOTS will not give permission for its banner to be placed on JF, nor will it allow any affiliation with this site.
We have made this decision after much consideration and in order to safeguard our organisation, website, contibuters and our members - who are our major concern, and whose interests we must protect.
This decision in no way intended to reflect,in a derrogative manner,on the members of JF or those mutual members of both sites. We sincerely apologise for any offence which others may feel as this is completely unintentional.
Those persons who may wish to visit our site or contact us, can recieve our website address/email address by emailing Shaz or Shahnee at their personnel email addresses.

Thank you to all for responding to this post.
But can i make one thing VERY CLEAR - whilst shaz and i are members of ROMANI ROOTS, we are not the sole members! So any decision taken by ROMANI ROOTS is not just taken by ourselves, it is a democratic organisation and as such not a personnel decision but a group decision by those in all the administration and the whole committee - WHICH IS FAR MORE THEN US TWO!
TO CLARIFY: You can only have one chairperson for a committee of an organisation - so Shaz and i can't both be chairpeople, now can we?
BUT I will say this and happily so, as i have nothing to hide i am the CHAIRPERSON, and what of it?!
There is no I but US, no ME but WE, in ROMANI ROOTS - a democracy were disagreements are settled without fisticuffs - strange but true!
I continue to post because others asked me to and to retain the friendships i have made here - i see no conflict for me being member of more then one site - why should i?!
There are others on this site who are members of more then one website and no one has a problem with them, so why should there be a problem for me?!
OH AND ONE BIG POINT - SHAZ IS NOT MODERATING HERE - SHE IS HELPING WYLIE OUT UNTIL SOMEONE CAN BE FOUND TO TAKE UP THE MANAGERIAL/MODERATOR ROLES - SHAZ WAS OFFERED THESE POSITIONS BUT REFUSED!
The site at its conception and how it became were two different things - and with the deepest respect few know what happened behind the scenes here - and how the site we (shaz and i)envisaged changed to something we (shaz and i)did not wish for. Unfortuantely Risha was the person placing the vast majority of the site contents - we had no say in it! And whilst we voiced our concerns directly to her, we were over-ruled - so with the deepest respect to all, unless you were in our place at that time you cannot pressume to know what we did or did not think.
I have already apologised to those concerned for my previous behaviour towards them - i will not apologise again! I made errors, and i learnt from them, i've taken too much flack for Risha and this site in the past and i will not take it again so these days i speak my mind - my biggest mistake was keeping my mouth shut in the past - maybe if i had said how i felt then, i wouldn't be getting this grilling now. But as my mam used to say "If ifs and buts were apples and nuts, then kids like thee would fill thee guts" - can't changed the past, now can i?!
ROMANI ROOTS does not follow any other organisation- respected or otherwise, and is an organisation FIRST AND FOREMOST - the website was an after thought, a good afterthought, but never the less an after thought. The website to date has only TWO AFFILATIONS to other websites - although there are many others advertised on the site.
These grants i hear folk harping on about - dear god - it's not money in pocket - it goes into an organisational account and is used for organisational purposes only - for instance - the website, which is not paid for by some well-to-do benefactor - and until recently EVERYTHING, including the site, was paid for by the members themselves!
ROMANI ROOTS is a NON-PROFIT, VOLUNTARY ORGANISATION - not a bloody business!
I can't say what others may do with grants - but ROMANI ROOTS uses those grants to support, educate and promote the Romany community within Worcesteshire, and as far away as the members can travel! To some here, this may be a joke, but all at ROMANI ROOTS work dammed hard withinn the local community and further afield to break down barriers, bigetry, racism and breed understanding and liasons with the non-Rom communities.
I know that some do not mean offence by their questions and i understand that some may not understand the decision, but the explalnation was in the letter. Of course the organisation could have buried its head in the sand and just stonewalled but no, we chose to be honest and expalin ourselves - i'm sorry if that doesn't meet with some peoples approval, but this isn't about approval, this is about doing right by the membership of ROMANI ROOTS.
Now, before any person takes offence, there was no offence intended, i am siimply answereing the enquires.
I do not intend to go anywhere, i will still post here, and i will continue to be pleasant and polite to all - i certainly don't consider any here enemies and have taken no offence. If you still have enquries, my email address is posted about on one of the topics - feel free to email me.

I am sorry i was writing a reply whilst your post went up - i wasn't ignoring - just took me a while to write stuff down.
Thanks so much for the support and well wishes and we are glad you like the site - A BIG THANK YOU!
Eh, just had a thought, it takes many strong roots to build a good tree, and words like yours are as good as sunshine and rain, so should be a tall, stong tree in the future! LOL!

I'm sorry you don't feel i have answered your questions , however my email is lavengri@hotmail.co.uk and if you wish you may email and i will answere your qiestions, and they will be honest answeres, i assure you.
Leahcim - the reason i took so long to answere was to make sure i didn't come over in the wrong manner as i know that the words can often be misread, so i took my time. I wanted to make it clear how i felt but in an adult and polite manner. I can understand how you feel, some who make money off the backs of others, posing for all when they are in it just for themselves, but thankfully is not what ROMANI ROOTS is about. So many gave so much and have never taken a penny back - nor would they, they did it for to benefit others not themselves, the saying goes that you don't give to recieve. I do respect my elders, those of the past, if it wasn't for them i wouldn't be here. That's part of the reason why i have committed myself in such a way - my grandmother, who i respect immensly, was very proud of her Rom roots, and i am thankful to her for standing her ground. I try to follow her example, as best i can, though i can never live up to her memory, i can honour it.
Cuba - i wasn't being pedantic, as that's not my nature. I thought you had made an error, and thought you did'nt realise that there could be only one chairperson. No -one should compare one to another, though on reflection i can see why some would, but i am not like her, nor will i ever be, thankfully. Whilst you only saw three of us on the picuture there are infact 4 members of the committee. But the other was holding the video camera and filming at the time of the photo being taken, he is the Secretary.Shaz has tried to delete all the posts of replies to myself so that folk dont look dinlo, but to be fair she can't delete alot of the posts because she has to have that persons permission in order to do so, and that's why they remain. Shaz woudn't try to make anyone look stupid - that's not what she is about, and she is doing her best to help, so i think we should be grateful she bothered. I don't remmeber your screen name or exactly what went on between you and others. including myself, i'll be honest, but if you wanna remind me then email me and let's sort this out, once and for all. I havn't assumed anything, nor would i. I'm sorry you feel the need to leave, if i can stay and face the music, despite the problems i have caused, i don't see why others can't. It's not the easy road, to be sure, but it's the right one.
Like i said if anyone wants to email and ask questions, then i will answere, but to all i wish well and hope that we can move on from this.

I can't address this to anyone because the person i would like to address it to has asked me not to speak to them.
So i'll just say to all - first of the websites that are advertised on our site, are offered by members, not just myself. Secondly, if anyone is concerned about a particular website and the fact that it may reflect badly on our organsation, my email address is in an above post and feel free to email me and let me know which ones may be a problem, thank you.
Now that said, i'll move on, i won't email anyone, as it's clear they don't wish to speak - but one things for certain you got me wrong, sir, i do understand much of what you say, shame you don't understand me, but thems the apples!
