I'm from Stanningley, Leeds, Yorkshire but came out to Australia with my Mam and Dad in 1970 so have lived here since. Looking forward to rokkering with you all.

Hello, Valerierakly! Im right well, thank you for askin, and hope you are well too. We COULD be rellis. Still learning about my Dads family becos his Mam (lilly) died giving birth to his sister (also called lilly). My grandad was Tom Ripley and my dad's Tom Ripley too. Dad has a brother Billy and sister Lilly. On dads side of the family we're Ripley and Holmes. I'm hoping to find out more over the coming years.

Many thanks for your welcome and for your question. I am sorry I did not reply sooner!! I have followed some of your postings and I am honored that you have taken interest in Australia and the Rroma living here as well as invited me to be your future friend!
Yes, there are Rroma in Australia. I am only now beginning to find out more about them. When I have a contact I will make sure to mention you and then put you in contact with them. In the state of Queensland (Eastern Australia) there is a large Sinti group. Also there is a woman in Western Australia who moved there from England. She has done much work with the Government here to assist with the improvement of life for Australian Aborignies - the native people of this country. I believe that she is Rromani. She has also found that many Rroma married Australian Aboriginies and she is doing some research. When I know more I will let you know.
It will be of no inconvenience to me and I look forward to further discussions with you.

| My dear friend Tomsled, I was very happy that you have answerd me! for your infomation, I also have relitives in Australia, but I have not have any news from them for decades, I think they live in Sidney,some where, if by any chance you see a gypsy in Sidney please ask him if he is from China, and a Lovari, that is my clands name, all I know that they have become welthy people because one of their direct cousine still lives in China with him I am in contact, my friend if you go on this site on the red label and find, {the memories of a gypsy you will find my book by this name, and the pictures of my whole family, I have written another book by the name of {The magic power of life} it was published recently in the U.S, if you go on Google and just write my name{Victor Vishnevsky} you will get all the details of my books. and were to get them if you want you friend Victor |
