G'day from Australia,

I have not been on this site for some time having been lured away to other sites. Now I would like to return and enjoy all that I did prior to my wandering off into strange paths. I was born in Birmingham where all of my fondest memories of gypsy folk are still locked away in my mind. Back on the 1930's there were many Gypsies calling at our home to sell us their wares. It was always considered bad luck not to buy something. My mother took no notice of that but bought their pegs and wooden flowers willingly. Up until migrating to Australia some 40 odd years ago I would go to any Gypsy camp that was near my home. I would wait on the outskirts waiting for someone to come to me and will kindness was invited to have a cup of chai. I do hope that you will once again invite me to join you as a friend.

My respects to you all

Robert

hello pomeranian, what was your grandmothers surname. my grannys people have people all over and some of them settled, i've traced them back as far as 1760's, they had a lot of people around kendal into yorkshire and up in scotland. they have shaples and morrisons related to them, they're married in, they seemed to have a lot of girls and so i'm related to a lot of different surnamed people because of that. and my grandads peoples taylors and they have been up in that area of the county too. my grandads uncle was a cumbrian westmoreland wrestler.

May the peace of the LORD be with you always. God Bless
