I often get emails and asked by our members for help in tracing or locating ancestors in the census and other records available , as my hands are full with this site ! I looked around the web and it seems there are already many excellent sites that provide help and guidance on Romany genealogy , however not all offer an Interactive forum apart from Roots-Chat which is one of the longest established forums and highly recommended not just for Romany family history but all kinds ! Along with Roots-Chat the most "active" Interactive Gypsy History site
in my view is RomanyJib and so I asked the Admin if it was possible that they could help any members with their queries and they kindly agreed so therefor if members want to join this excellent site and post their queries please do so just click on the link below .

Hi looking for info on the romany family of Hughes ,Edward Hughes born Claremorris Ireland living in Lancashire areas 1850 onwards.
Edwards son Michael Hughes born 1843 County Mayo Ireland living in Lancashire,yorkshire areas 1850 onwards,married Mary Lyons born Burnley at Wetherby r/c church 1871.They had 4 children Edward Hughes born Headley Hall Yorkshire,Ellen born Kippax Yorkshire,John born Normanton Yorkshire and Mary born Dublin Ireland
