Hi everyone,
I have recently decided to create my own Romani flags. I did this because most of the flags I have seen online are either too small or the quality is not the best. Use at your own discretion. |

This mead is going to be delicious. Just don't expect much, 'cause I may just drink it all. |

I would like to remind everyone that the flags are © 2006 Shinari. As mentioned before, I give the right for everyone to use according to their needs, but the sale or distribution of my rendition of the Romani flag is illegal.
I'm saying this, nothing against anyone here, but just a matter I wanted to clear up due to some circumstances. Thanks for understanding everyone. |

I would very much liked to have a flag one or more to give to my fellow Gysies!, but before I get one or more, I want to know who autorized, these colors of the supposed Gypsy Flag, and who invented it! I would be very much obliaged if you could give all this details, was this Flag democraticaly selected? or just some self made leader invented it, don`t get me wrong, because there are by the hundreds self proclaimed Gypsy leaders, who try and take advantage of the situation, here In Brazil there are Gypsies who ask the government to make them leaders, of all the clans which are in Brazil, and some don`t know even how to write their names, how can such people be leaders. victor

| Hi Shinari,
Your motto is great, think positively, act positively and leave no fingerprints. I love it!
I like to think that i live my life by those sort of rules, if u can't touch somedodies life in a positive way, then don't touch it at all. We are judged by what we do while in this life, so be polite & kind or else karma will catch up wiv ya!
I'm off to look at our flag. I've already read CJ's info regards it's design and authenticity.
Take care, all the best |

Thanks for the comment on my motto, nomad. :)
We should have the Romani flag as a bumper sticker with the slogan, "We fix and steal your cars better than the rest!" However, I don't think that people would get my warped sense of humour. Sighs. Maybe a slogan that said, "My Pimped Vardo" would be better.

Were could I buy some flags, that are supposed to be Gypsy, as I have already told you , we don't even have a leader much less a country, how could any one say that this is our flag, it is eligal but on the other hand very little Gypsies know what is eligal and what is not, I think first we must be recognized by the U.N, officialy, and ask the U.N. if they can give us a piece of land and be called the Romani land, so that we may fly our flag over our country Victor |

| Hi Victor, I take your point regards legality of the flag. Have you used the link 6 posts above this one by Delengri on 16 Feb to look at the info regards the design & origin of the flag? It says there that it was officialy recognised in 1971 however i will approach the member that posted that information to ask the question on your behalf. However your claim that "very little Gypsies know what is illegal and what is not" is a tad rash. It is true that not many of us are solicitors but in my experience in the UK, Gypsies have a good understanding of what's illegal and what's not. Furthermore, the member who posted that information has carried out a great deal of research into our history. Take care, the nomad |

| Nomadbill, I am not just refering of the Gypsies of England, but as whole around the world to be more precise, we have a long way to go yet , I would have been the happiest man in this world to know that our Gypsies, are aquainted with the worlds, law, but unfortunately it is to early to have our own Flag, in 1971 you say that it was officialy recognised! what I say that these Gypsies that recognised this flag, they should have done it democraticaly, let us say that there were 10 thousand Gypsies on that gathering, what about the other 1990, 000,000 million Gypsies, wer are said to be in about 20,000,000, now you tell me was this correct? | Victor, that's a valid point my friend. I wonder just who did decide on the exact design of the flag. Thing is, how would you go about asking twenty million people to make the decision? Throughout the world a selected panel of people represent their clans in decision making. When a government is elected, a few hundred folk make decisions that concern millions of others, that is just the way the world works. I'm not saying it's right but that's the way it is. Take care, nomadbill |

| Dear Nomadbill, yes you are right were you are, but not in Brasil, the vote here is an obligation, if you don't vote you will have to pay a fine or else you wont have the right to take a passport or some other importent documents, or you must give the government, a good excuse, why you did not vote, and I think it is right every one must vote during the elections, except children and old people like me, that is over 65 years old! |

| Hi Victor, i think even in the UK it's law to vote but people are so fed up with governments promising one thing to get your vote, then doing another after they're elected, that they don't bother. I agree however that everybody should, whats the point in bitching about the way the countries run if you haven't bothered to have your say?.... I just read your post about the chinese tigers, interesting! Maybe our lifes are all planned out from the day we are conceived, when it's time for us to leave this planet, we will! Thats why i beleive we should do as much as we can while we have the chance because tomorrow may never come. Congratulations on your advancing years - nearly 80, that's good going! Heres to the next 80!...... Brasil eh? I hear it's lovely but dangerous in parts. Mind you London can be a dangerous place if you take a wrong turn! Take care, the nomad |

| Hi, nomadbill, you are right politics are all the same when it comes to voting, some politics will sell their souls to the devil for a vote, yes again you hit the right spot, Brasil is a very dangerous place to live, particularly, Rio, San paulo, and the north of the country, but the south is a diffrent story, I think that is because their is less miserables, over there, and is mostly white population, Germans, Italian, and portuguees, immigrants, when I used to go there, I thought I was in Europe some place, but all in all, the people have a good character, and there is almost no discremination, to have a good time you will have to come and see for yourself, the freedom is contegious, and the women are lovely, at my age I still admire beauty one I see one. |

| Hi Victor, I have a friend who done some travelling in Brasil & said they nearly got shot over a cab ride. They also apparently strolled down the worst street in Rio drunk, without a problem, like i said when your numbers up that's it. It obviously wasn't their time as they got through both experiences without a scratch. I'd like to do South America at some point but friends who are well travelled suggested cutting my teeth in South East Asia first as it is not quite as risky and will teach me a few things so as i'm a bit wiser when i jump into the deep end. I had heard that in parts it's very friendly but that the divide between rich & poor is vast. I'd also heard about the women too!! Who knows Victor, maybe one day. Take care, Nomad |

The divide between rich and poor is definately in your face in South America, say like..... in some parts of India. There's the most amazing area in Venezuela called the Sabana Grande - feel you would love it there Nomadman - Angel Falls is there. Mother Earth reminds one of her presence in a wondrous way for sure. Have you ever seen the Samba dance... how incredible is that fa true!
